Naveen has more than 18 years of stellar experience in the field of logistics management – working for DHL Supply Chain. Over the course of his career he has successfully managed multiple roles including:

• Solution Design: Developing logistics solution/blue print based on business requirement using various design tools
• Launch/Project Management: Implementing the design which includes distribution network, warehouse, people, IT system, infrastructure, training transport network, safety systems etc
• Operations Management: Manging large scale operations and successfully delivering service levels
• Special Project (LLP): Special projects such a LLP (Lead Logistics Provider) to customer – acting as customer’s logistics arm and managing multiple 3PLs
• New concepts: Launching many new concepts in India including first “Digital recruitment centre” – a centre to digitize & standardize the recruitment & training for operations team, blue print for Omni channel distribution centre
• Customer Development: Working with many global and India entity to draw out logistics solution in-line with their business strategy and establishing long term contracts and partnership

He has worked with customers from multiple industries including Automotive, Engineering & Manufacturing, Construction Equipment, Steel Industry, Retail including apparel and footwear, Consumer, Electronics Industry, Telecom, E commerce etc.

Over the course of his career with DHL Supply Chain in India, he has delivered a number of industry leading projects and concepts including:

• Successfully leading operations for one of the largest warehouse complex in India with >1 million square footage
• E-commerce warehousing – Designed the process and launched multiple drop-ship fulfilment centres. Launched the first shared (multi-user) E-commerce fulfilment centre in India
• Omni channel – Developed the blue-print for a Omni channel Distribution Centre for retail OEM that is fully digital and automated – a first globally
• Successfully leading the migration of IT system from SAP to Manhattan WMS for a globally leading retail OEM leading to more than 20% increase in productivity
• Successfully launched and ramped up the first MRO operations for Steel Industry in Asia for DHL. Awarded First Prize for Safety Kaizen and appreciation from the President and Plant Head for the service levels and continuous improvement initiatives
• Delivered more than INR 42 million savings in supply chain costs for a Engineering and Manufacturing OEM through a specialized Lead Logistics Partner program.
• Designed and launched multiple large Parts Distribution Centre and distribution solution for Global and Indian Auto OEMs
• Designed and implemented a 32-DC distribution centre model for a global tyre OEM – that helped the OEM to transition seamlessly to a new legal entity at improved service level

He has won a number of awards and laurels during his career including: Asia Pacific CEO Award, Global Automotive Award, Emerging Leadership Project Award.

Naveen has a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from “Georgia Institute of Technology (US)” – Ranked No 1 globally for Industrial Engineering & M.Sc in Supply Chain Management from “National Univ of Singapore”. He also won the prestigious “ The Logistics Institute Asia Pacific Scholarship Award” from Economic Board of Govt of Singapore. He also has engineering degree (Mechanical) from University of Madras.
